Pantalica is one of the most fascinating places in Sicily: a gorge where over five thousand tombs were carved into the cliffs between the 13th and 7th centuries BC. We follow the old railway line along the river Anapo, now a trail through plane trees and oleanders.
Along the way we visit the Anaktoron, the ruins of a prince’s palace, and stop for a swim in the clear pools of the river.
