Akrai was the first colony founded by Syracuse, in 664 BC, on a hill with a view over the Iblean mountains. We visit the small Greek theatre, the bouleuterion and the Santoni, rock reliefs of the goddess Cybele.
Then we walk down to Palazzolo Acreide, a baroque town with beautiful churches and a famous pastry tradition.
